I'm a writer and 2-D artist by trade, but every now and then I get the urge to dabble in textiles, sculpture, or custom dolls (mostly My Little Pony). I didn't want to continue detracting from my professional work in my main gallery or relegate all crafting to my scraps, so I decided to open this account.

I do do pony customisation for pay (original characters only, please). Base price is #30 for a G3 earth pony with a symbol on each haunch and rehaired with *yarn* hair, with my own process. It's special, soft yarn, not the usual stuff -- I sew the yarn onto stiffened and painted felt, and then hotglue the felt to the neck.

Fancy paint jobs and clothes depend on what they entail as to how much they cost -- typically around $15-25 extra. The same goes for sculpted items.

I can sculpt wings with Model Magic Fusion (or Sculpy/Fimo, if you prefer, which is more expensive) but as that's rather fragile, I recommend you go with my method of making wings with felt and wire -- which is also flexible! Felt wings are an extra $10.

Rerooting with plastic pony hair instead of doing my yarn method is $25 extra, as I have to buythe hair special and the process isn't easy.

If you don't want to use a G3, arrangements can be made for a different pony, but that will obviously cost more if I have to order it off of e-bay.

And I am open to other, non-pony-related crafting ideas you may have!
