Done in prep for my panel at Dragon*Con 2008 [link]
It struck me that the Flutter ponies were similar in proportion to the baby ponies but taller, and I suddenly had the idea to make one into Todd. (Yes, I already had a Todd [link] , but since I made him from a G-3, he's huuuge compared to the other Atlantis ponies I've made.) And then, of course, since Christopher Hyerdahl plays both Todd and Halling (he was Halling first), it occurred to me that I could use my other Flutter pony to make a Halling!
I used the same white yarn (applied directly with hot-glue this time) to make this Todd's hair as I did with the other Todd pony and my Todd bag [link] . Similarly, I sued the same material for this one's coat as I used in those other two instances. I used felt for the pieces over his upper legs/shoulders. Didn't mold the face with clay this time, just painting it to look Wraith-like. And of course he has a "feeding hoof".
I originally painted Halling more of a geenish-blue, but he looked too much like Todd. XD Just chose yellow so I wouldn't have to mix a colour and because I hadn't used it on anyone else yet. His mane was coloured with a sharpie. I used a tiny bit of fake wool, applied with hot-glue, to make the collar of his coat. For his symbols, one side is a candle, as he is often doing spiritual things on the show, and on the other side is the 'Gate symbol for the Pegasus Galaxy.
And of course they both have the Earth symbol on the side of one hoof (Todd's being done Wraith-style), and my signature mark on the bottom of a hoof. Sealed with Mod Podge.

"I originally painted Halling more of a geenish-blue, but he looked too much like Todd." Not surprising since it's the same actor who plays both the characters X3

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
